52nd Annual Daytime Emmys Set for October 17 in Pasadena

Pasadena, CA – The 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will take place on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, starting at 4 p.m. PT. The ceremony will recognize excellence in daytime television, with 41 awards scheduled to be presented across various categories, including daytime dramas and talk shows.
This year, the Emmys will feature new categories such as Outstanding Culinary Cultural Series and Outstanding Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series.
Among the highlights is the presentation of the Daytime Emmys’ Lifetime Achievement Award to Mario Lopez, a popular television host and actor known for his role as A.C. Slater on ‘Saved by the Bell’. This marks a significant milestone as Lopez celebrates 30 years in the industry.
For the first time, the Daytime Emmys will not be televised on a traditional broadcast network. Instead, the ceremony will stream live on the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) website and via The Emmys app, which is accessible on iOS, Android, and smart TVs.
This year’s leading nominees include ‘The Young and the Restless‘ with 19 nominations, followed by ‘General Hospital‘ with 16 and ‘Days of Our Lives‘ with 13 nominations. Popular talk show hosts Drew Barrymore and Kelly Clarkson are also in the running, boasting nine and eight nominations respectively.
New soap opera ‘Beyond the Gates‘, which premiered in February 2025, will be eligible for next year’s Emmys, as it missed the current eligibility window.
The presenter lineup features a mix of stars from various daytime shows, including Scott Clifton from ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’, Deidre Hall and Dan Feuerriegel from ‘Days of Our Lives’, along with Kardea Brown and Carla Hall.
Fans can attend the ceremony by purchasing tickets through Ticketmaster, with prices starting at $75, although these tickets do not provide access to exclusive events such as the red carpet.
This year continues to honor the legacy of artists involved in daytime television, with some prominent stars expected to appear at the event.
