Trump Epstein Emails Release

Washington, D.C. — President Donald Trump’s name has resurfaced in emails released by the House Oversight Committee, revealing insights into his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

On Wednesday, Democrats on the committee disclosed three emails from Epstein’s estate that reference Trump. The emails raise questions about the extent of their associations. In one exchange dated 2015 between Epstein and author Michael Wolff, they discuss how Trump might address inquiries about his ties to Epstein during an upcoming CNN interview.

Wolff suggested to Epstein, “I think you should let him hang himself.” He noted that a denial from Trump about boarding Epstein’s plane could provide political leverage. “You can hang him in a way that potentially generates a positive benefit for you,” Wolff added.

Rep. Robert Garcia, D-Calif., the ranking member of the committee, stated, “The more Donald Trump tries to cover up the Epstein files, the more we uncover.” He expressed concerns about what else could be hidden by the White House regarding their relationship.

Another email from 2011 shows Epstein referencing Trump as the “dog that hasn’t barked.” He mentioned that a victim had “spent hours at my house” with Trump, further complicating the narrative around Trump’s connections to Epstein and allegations against him.

Trump has consistently denied any close affiliation with Epstein and claimed the two had a falling out over Epstein allegedly poaching employees from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort. Recently, Trump characterized the controversy surrounding the Epstein files as a “scam” in a social media post.

The release of these emails comes as House Democrats, along with some Republicans, seek a vote to mandate the release of additional files related to Epstein. House Speaker Mike Johnson has been criticized for delaying this vote, adding tension as the House reconvenes.

The latest revelations complicate Trump’s narrative as he faces scrutiny not just from Democrats but also from some supporters pushing for increased transparency concerning Epstein’s extensive network.

As the investigation unfolds, the committee continues reviewing over 23,000 documents related to Epstein. The nature of Trump’s relationship with Epstein remains a contentious topic.
