Star Citizen’s Annual Event Opens to Players for Ship Rentals
LOS ANGELES, USA – Star Citizen has launched its 2025 Intergalactic Aerospace Expo (IAE), inviting players to explore and rent over 150 unique ships and ground vehicles. The event began on November 20 and will continue until December 3, allowing both new and existing players to create accounts, download the game and visit Orison for this limited-time experience.
This year’s IAE will highlight the finalists of the community’s Best in Show vote, featuring four new spacecraft. Players can indulge in free vehicle rentals for a short period, starting with the lineup from RSI on opening day. The event aligns with the ongoing development of Star Citizen’s third star system, Nyx, which introduces a range of new missions that include investigating abandoned stations and inter-system hauling.
The latest update, Alpha 4.4, brings several enhancements to the game, such as new freight elevators and refined injury warnings. Additionally, it is designed to balance point defense turrets and missiles, alongside introducing two new first-person shooter weapons. CIG has provided a schedule for when various manufacturers will showcase their vehicles during the event.
Star Citizen has been under development for over a decade since its crowdfunding campaign began in 2012, originally aiming for a launch in 2014. Despite its lengthy alpha status, the game has maintained a dedicated player base and has raised extensive funds through sales of in-game ships and assets.
As the community anticipates the outcome of the ongoing IAE, excitement continues to build around the potential for new features and vehicles. Players can access patch notes and updates on the official Star Citizen site, ensuring they stay informed about the latest developments.
