Louisville Police Investigate Shooting Injuries in Jacobs Neighborhood
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Two people were injured in a shooting on Tuesday, Nov. 25, in the Jacobs neighborhood of Louisville. Police received the call around 3:40 p.m. about shots fired in the area.
Upon arrival at the 3700 block of Craig Avenue, officers found a 17-year-old girl suffering from a graze wound. While tending to her, officers were alerted to another victim located in the 3600 block of Wheeler Avenue.
At the second location, police discovered a male victim, whose age is currently unknown, with a gunshot wound to his leg. Both victims were quickly transported to University of Louisville Hospital, where they are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Louisville Metro Police Department’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is overseeing the investigation. Detectives believe the shooting may have originated in the 3700 block of Kahlert. Efforts are ongoing to piece together the events leading up to the incident.
As of now, there are no suspects in custody. The police department is asking anyone with information related to this shooting to contact the anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD.
