Acer Unveils Sleek New Gaming Laptops at Computex 2025

Taipei, Taiwan — Acer is showcasing its latest advancements in gaming technology at Computex 2025, introducing two new 14-inch gaming laptops: the Predator Triton 14 AI and Helios Neo 14 AI. Targeted at gamers and creative professionals alike, these laptops promise high performance in a compact design.
The Triton 14 AI, with a thickness of just 0.68 inches, is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 288V processor, one of Intel’s latest ‘Lunar Lake’ chips. This processor, designed for productivity, runs at 30W of base power, comparatively less than typical gaming laptop processors, aimed at maintaining a slimmer profile.
Acer enhances the Triton’s cooling capabilities through the use of graphene as a thermal interface material, reportedly outperforming standard thermal paste by 14.5%. The graphics are handled by an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU, optimized for both gaming and creative applications.
Complementing its sleek design, the Triton features a 14.5-inch, 2880 x 1800 OLED touchscreen capable of 120 Hz refresh rates, offering vibrant visuals for gaming and creative work. The laptop also includes a unique haptic touchpad designed for stylus use, although it may have limitations for extended writing tasks.
On the other hand, the Helios Neo 14 AI adopts a slightly more traditional gaming laptop design, with a thickness of 0.82 inches. It employs Intel’s H-series ‘Arrow Lake’ processors and also supports up to Intel Core Ultra 9 285H, with a maximum of 32GB of RAM and 2TB storage. This model features two display options, including a 2880 x 1800 panel at 120Hz and a 2560 x 1600 version at a faster 165Hz.
Both laptops are equipped with RGB keyboards and offer customization options, appealing to gamers who appreciate a bit of personal flair in their setup. The Helios Neo is fitted with a metal lid and a customizable RGB logo, setting it apart visually from its competitor.
In addition to the new laptops, Acer revealed plans to update its Predator Orion 3000 desktop model with the latest processors from Intel and Nvidia. While Acer has provided expected launch dates for Europe in July, it has yet to announce pricing or specific availability details for North America, stating it will offer more information ‘closer to market availability.’
The advancements signify Acer’s commitment to creating powerful, portable systems that can cater to both gamers and professional users, highlighting the ongoing trend toward hybrid devices in the tech industry.
