Aston Martin Carplay Ultra Launch

Cupertino, California — Apple announced on May 15, 2025, that its next-generation infotainment software, now called CarPlay Ultra, will be available for new Aston Martin vehicle orders in the U.S. and Canada. Existing models equipped with the brand’s latest infotainment system will receive the upgrade via a software update in the coming weeks.

CarPlay Ultra aims to offer a more integrated driving experience by combining features of the iPhone with the vehicle’s interface. It enables drivers to access real-time information such as speed, navigation, and media right from their instrument clusters, with a customizable look that matches each automaker’s style. Apple collaborated closely with Aston Martin to launch this innovative system.

“iPhone users love CarPlay, and it has transformed how people connect with their vehicles,” said Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. He mentioned that CarPlay Ultra would enhance the in-car experience, allowing for a more unified interaction between the iPhone and vehicle systems.

Not only does CarPlay Ultra support standard functions such as climate control and audio system management, but it also incorporates advanced features like performance settings. The system provides options to manage these controls via touch, physical buttons, or Siri voice commands, creating a seamless interaction within the vehicle.

Additionally, drivers can personalize themes and widgets on their display to view information such as upcoming appointments or weather updates. This customization aims to enhance user satisfaction and engagement while driving.

Aston Martin’s CEO, Adrian Hallmark, expressed excitement over the collaboration, stating, “As a brand, our focus on world-leading performance goes beyond traditional attributes… The integration of CarPlay Ultra is a clear example of our dedication to offering unique experiences to our customers.”

CarPlay Ultra will progressively expand to other automakers, including Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis, though no specific launch dates for those brands have been confirmed yet. For now, customers can order new Aston Martin models featuring this advanced system, which is set to redefine the luxury in-car experience.
