Apple Macbook Air M4 Chip Sky Blue

CUPERTINO, Calif. — Apple Inc. unveiled the latest version of its MacBook Air on March 5, 2025, featuring the powerful M4 chip, enhanced battery life, and a striking new sky blue color option. Starting at $999, the new model signifies a $100 price drop, aimed at boosting its appeal to students and professionals alike.

The updated MacBook Air now promises up to 18 hours of battery life and is available in 13-inch and 15-inch variants, both offering support for two external 6K displays alongside the built-in Liquid Retina display. This makes it an excellent choice for multitaskers and creators needing additional screen space.

“MacBook Air is by far the world’s most popular laptop, and today we’re giving everyone even more reasons to love it,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “Combined with its thin and light design, all-day battery life, and the incredible capabilities of macOS Sequoia with Apple Intelligence, MacBook Air is unlike any other laptop,” he added.

The M4 chip, featuring a 10-core CPU and up to a 10-core GPU, makes the new MacBook Air up to twice as fast as its M1 predecessor and 23 times faster compared to older Intel-based models. This significant upgrade allows for smoother multitasking and increased efficiency, especially for demanding tasks like photo and video editing.

Equipped with a brand-new 12MP Center Stage camera, the MacBook Air enhances video call quality, keeping users automatically centered in the frame. The camera also supports Desk View, which provides a top-down perspective of the workspace during calls, catering to those looking to showcase projects or presentations effectively.

Apple has also integrated its artificial intelligence feature set, Apple Intelligence, into the new MacBook Air. It includes tools such as Image Playground and enhanced Writing Tools, as well as improvements in Siri, enabling smoother interaction and increased productivity for users.

Users can easily access ChatGPT within the Writing Tools, allowing for quick assistance with writing tasks and a user-friendly experience that prioritizes privacy. All data processed on the device keeps user security in mind, utilizing on-device processing for many functions.

Alongside these technical innovations, Apple is noteworthy for its commitment to sustainability, with the new MacBook Air comprising over 55% recycled content. This aligns with Apple’s Apple 2030 initiative, aiming for carbon neutrality across its entire supply chain by the end of the decade.

The new MacBook Air is now available for pre-order and is set to hit the shelves on March 12, 2025, making it a timely option for consumers ahead of the spring and back-to-school seasons.
