Apple Leaks Indicate Vertical Camera Layout For Iphone 16 Series

Recent leaks from Apple suggest a major design overhaul for the upcoming iPhone 16 series, with the shift towards a vertical camera layout. Reports indicate that Apple is making significant changes to the camera design of the 2024 iPhones, hinting at a departure from the recent horizontal camera arrangement in favor of a vertical setup.

The renowned tipster Majin Bu took to the social media platform X to share insider details about the iPhone 16, unveiling an image showcasing a main camera chassis for the base model iPhone 16. The leaked image reveals the vertical camera layout, resembling the design seen in earlier models like the iPhone 11 and 12.

MacRumors, after independently verifying the authenticity of the leaked component design, confirmed that the vertical camera layout is indeed a feature planned for the upcoming iPhone 16 series. The industry sources corroborate the shift towards a vertical camera arrangement for the base iPhone 16 model, denoted as the I-34 camera project.

Beyond the camera design, leaks suggest Apple’s potential release of at least five new iPhone models in 2024. Among these, the rumored iPhone 16 SE and 16 Plus SE are anticipated to sport 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively. Both models are expected to feature the signature Dynamic Island notch and a standard 60Hz refresh rate.

Furthermore, the iPhone 16 series is speculated to include the regular iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models with 6.3-inch displays and an upgraded 120Hz refresh rate. The larger iPhone 16 Pro Max may sport a 6.9-inch display while also offering a high refresh rate experience at 120Hz.
