Concert For Carolina Benefit Show

In Charlotte, North Carolina, an impressive lineup of musicians, including Luke Combs, Eric Church, Billy Strings, and James Taylor, will headline the “Concert for Carolina,” a benefit show aimed at supporting hurricane relief efforts. The event, organized by Explore Asheville and the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 26, at the Bank of America Stadium.

The concert is a direct response to the destruction caused by Hurricane Helene, which recently battered the region. The idea for the benefit concert was rapidly mobilized in the wake of the storm, with David Tepper, owner of the Carolina Panthers and Bank of America Stadium, generously offering the venue for the event. Concert attendees can purchase tickets starting Thursday, October 10, at 10:00 am ET, with proceeds dedicated to relief efforts.

The concert will have proceeds split evenly between the foundations associated with Combs and Church. Combs’ proceeds will support his Chief Cares Foundation, which will distribute funds to select organizations aiding the hurricane relief efforts across the Carolinas and the Southeast. Meanwhile, Eric Church’s portion will be directed toward established charities providing immediate assistance to affected families.

For those unable to attend, donations can still be made to support relief efforts through the North Carolina Community Foundation, among other listed organizations. The concert is supported by several sponsors, including Tepper Sports & Entertainment, T-Mobile, Atrium Health, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.

Combs, Church, Strings, and Taylor have deep ties to North Carolina. Luke Combs, for instance, grew up in Asheville and began his musical journey there before moving to Nashville. Eric Church hails from Granite Falls and has a long history of performances in the region. Billy Strings, although originally from Michigan, has found a welcoming audience in North Carolina, where he frequently performs. James Taylor, who spent part of his childhood in Chapel Hill, has drawn inspiration from the state for many of his songs and has been recognized by its Music Hall of Fame.
