Billionaire Richard Branson Suffers Cycling Injuries In British Virgin Islands

Sir Richard Branson, the renowned founder of Virgin Group, has encountered injuries following a bike mishap on Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands. The 73-year-old billionaire shared a photo displaying a bloodied arm and bruised hip on his Instagram account, expressing his relief at not having sustained any fractures.

Branson recounted, “Took quite a big tumble while cycling in Virgin Gorda a little while ago!” He detailed hitting a pothole and experiencing a harsh crash, resulting in another hematoma on his hip and a nasty cut on his elbow, but fortunately, no bones were broken.

In a moment of reflection, he expressed his gratitude for maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle and concluded with a poignant quote: “After all, the brave may not live forever but the cautious do not live at all!”

This episode isn’t Branson’s first brush with danger while on a bike. In a notable incident in 2021, he was involved in a serious accident on another island in the British Virgin Islands while participating in a charity cycling event.

Richard Branson is widely recognized for his adventurous spirit and his pursuit of numerous world records in the past. More recently, his focus has been on the planned commercial space flights through his enterprise Virgin Galactic.
