Boston Weather Forecast Clouds Showers

BOSTON, Mass. — Boston experienced mostly sunny skies on Tuesday, with temperatures reaching around 70 degrees, slightly below the daily average of 73. Beginning Wednesday, the weather pattern will shift as a coastal storm approaches Southern New England, bringing clouds and potential showers.

Morning commuters will encounter patchy fog and rising cloud cover, with temperatures in the mid- to upper 50s. While much of the day will remain dry, light sprinkles are possible, particularly from Boston to the Massachusetts Turnpike and to areas south. Afternoon highs will be around 70 degrees along the coast, while inland areas may reach the mid-70s.

The pleasant weather from earlier in the week will change as high pressure shifts eastward, making room for the coastal storm. Most showers are expected to stay south of the Pike, although a few light rain pockets could extend northward. Those venturing out should consider bringing an umbrella or light rain jacket.

In contrast, Northern New England will continue to enjoy sunny weather with temperatures reaching the upper 70s. Clouds will thicken across Greater Boston as evening approaches, with temperatures dropping to the low 60s or upper 50s.

Thursday will be the warmest day of the week with highs in the upper 70s for Boston. The day will start cloudy, accompanied by fog and possible sprinkles. However, the sun may break through later in the day, offering a mostly clear sky by nightfall.

As a cold front moves in on Friday, the temperature will drop significantly, predicting a 10 to 15-degree drop in highs. The weekend looks relatively dry, with Saturday expected to be clear but with increasing clouds later in the day.

On Sunday, a cold front may generate a few showers, beginning in the early afternoon. Despite the precipitation, high temperatures will remain in the mid-70s, which will be welcomed by many who have experienced a prolonged dry spell.
