Captain Tom Moore’s Daughter Faces Financial Drop as Company Assets Fall
Club Nook Ltd, a firm owned by Hannah Ingram Moore, the daughter of Captain Sir Tom Moore, has experienced a significant financial decline in the past financial year. According to the unaudited micro accounts at Companies House, the company’s net assets dropped from £482,268 in 2021/22 to £366,000 in 2022/23, representing a decrease of over £145,000.
The balance sheet of Club Nook Ltd also reveals a decrease in the amount owed to creditors, falling from £184,513 to £31,990 during the same period.
Hannah Ingram Moore and her husband have faced scrutiny over their handling of funds raised from Captain Tom’s fundraising efforts. This includes the money generated from the sale of Captain Tom’s book, titled ‘Tomorrow will be a Good Day’, which he intended to use to raise more money for the Captain Tom foundation. However, Ms. Ingram Moore asserts that there was no agreement stipulating that the proceeds from book sales, estimated to be around £800,000, should go to the charity.
It is important to note that Hannah Ingram Moore is not accused of any wrongdoing. The Charity Commission launched an investigation into the charity’s accounts in February 2022, and this investigation is still ongoing.
