Chainsaw Man Movie: Reze Arc Premieres with Dual Theme Songs

Tokyo, Japan — The much-anticipated film adaptation, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, premiered in Japanese theaters on September 19, 2025. This film, produced by the renowned animation studio MAPPA, features the captivating ending theme song “JANE DOE” performed by Kenshi Yonezu and Hikaru Utada.

To celebrate its theatrical debut, MAPPA released a new trailer showcasing the film’s aesthetic and emotional depth on September 18, one day before its official release. The film will be screened in select Asian countries from September 24 to September 26, 2025, and in parts of Europe, South America, and the Middle East starting October 30, 2025.

The film’s primary voice cast includes veterans from the original TV series. The storyline continues the journey of Denji, who has become “Chainsaw Man,” and follows him as he navigates his relationship with Reze, a girl he meets during a fateful encounter.

Denji’s adventure begins after he enjoys a date with Makima and later seeks refuge from the rain in a café, where Reze works. Their connection sets off a series of events filled with romance and action.

The TV anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man debuted in October 2022 and received acclaim from viewers, further boosting interest in the manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The original manga series started in December 2018 and has maintained popularity with more than 30 million copies in circulation.

Fans can also look forward to the film’s other theme song, “IRIS OUT,” which was released as part of the promotional efforts surrounding the movie’s launch. It features a unique jazz-inspired sound that captures Denji’s heart and obsession in an electrifying way.

Delighted fans filled theaters on opening night, including special midnight screenings in cities like Tokyo and Osaka, expressing excitement over newly established story elements and vibrant animations by MAPPA.

As the public eagerly anticipates its international release dates in the U.S. and Europe, the film promises to be another significant addition to the popular franchise.
