Charli Xcx Wuthering Heights Album Announcement

LOS ANGELES, CA — Charli XCX has announced her upcoming album titled ‘Wuthering Heights,’ set to release on February 13, 2026. This project follows her previous work with acclaimed filmmaker Emerald Fennell on the soundtrack for her film adaptation of Emily Brontë’s classic novel.

In a recent interview, Charli explained how the collaboration with Fennell led to the album’s creation. “I called Emerald and asked her what she was hoping for from my read of the script. She coyly suggested ‘A song?’ and I suggested ‘An album?’ because why not?”

Charli aims to immerse herself in a world that feels raw and gothic, saying, “I wanted to dive into a persona that was undeniably wild and tortured.” She worked primarily with producer Finn Keane, who was formerly known as Easyfun. Together, they spent most of the year creating the album while on tour.

The album will feature 12 tracks, including the recently released single “Chains Of Love,” which showcases Charli’s blend of strings and electronic effects. She describes the song as “a big, achingly romantic ballad.”

Earlier this week, Charli also released a collaboration with John Cale, the co-founder of The Velvet Underground, which opens the album. The music from ‘Wuthering Heights’ has been central to the film’s marketing, which stars Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi.

‘Wuthering Heights’ will be available for pre-order now. Fans can expect the soundtrack to hit stores on the same day as the movie’s release.
