Chase Chrisley Teases Mom’s Return to Platinum Blonde Hair Post-Prison Release

Nashville, TN – Chase Chrisley, the 29-year-old son of reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley, recently shared insights about his mother’s transformation following their release from prison. Julie Chrisley, 52, was recognized for her signature platinum blonde hair, which turned brunette with gray streaks during her incarceration.
Chase spoke exclusively with PEOPLE, where he expressed his certainty that Julie wouldn’t stick with her natural hair color. “I knew she wasn’t going to keep it the same,” he said, revealing his father Todd’s humorous take on the situation. Todd joked, “This would be the first time in my life I’ve ever been with a brunette.”
On May 29, Chase encouraged his mother to return to her iconic blonde locks, stating, “Mama, we gotta go back platinum blonde.” Photos later confirmed her return to blonde, as she posed happily with fans shortly after her release.
Todd, 56, and Julie Chrisley were released from separate prisons on May 28, after serving time for fraud-related convictions. Todd was incarcerated in Florida, while Julie served her sentence in Kentucky. The couple was sentenced to a total of 19 years in prison after being found guilty in 2019 on multiple counts of fraud.
Chase expressed gratitude for their return, stating, “I am grateful to God and extremely thankful to President Trump and his entire administration.” His mother Julie recounted her emotional reaction when learning of their pardon. “I just started busting out crying. Everyone was looking around, and then I just hung up,” she recalled.
In a forthcoming interview scheduled for June 28 on FOX News Channel’s My View with Lara Trump, Julie shared more about her time in prison, stating, “Most of the news that you get in prison is bad news.” She described the relief and joy she felt when she learned of her release.
As the Chrisleys look ahead, they plan to return to reality television with new projects and podcasts, embracing their family and fans again after a challenging chapter.
