Cincinnati Weather Rain Forecast

CINCINNATI, OHCincinnati residents should prepare for a rainy Thursday morning as a cold front is expected to bring widespread rain to the area. Rainfall amounts could reach 1/2 inch or more, impacting morning commutes.

The rain is projected to start early Thursday, with showers likely accompanying the early morning rush hour. Areas southeast of I-71 might experience heavier downpours as the cold front approaches.

“By tomorrow morning, we’re tracking a decent amount of rainfall moving through,” a meteorologist stated. “Most of us will pick up closer to a half inch, possibly more with some downpours.”

Temperatures on Thursday are expected to rise into the low 70s after the cold front moves through. Comparatively warm conditions today with highs reaching the low to mid 80s will give way to cooler weather as the rain arrives.

The forecast indicates scattered showers may linger into Thursday afternoon, particularly in areas east and southeast of Cincinnati. The rain could also affect outdoor plans, including football games scheduled for Friday night.

“Plan on a wet morning commute and consider indoor activities for the kids,” the meteorologist added.

Cincinnatians can anticipate a cool down into the low 70s for several days following the passage of the cold front, with a return to average fall-like temperatures by the weekend.

Despite the forecast for rain, residents can look forward to drier and clearer skies in the days following the cold front.
