Corey DeAngelis, a conservative advocate known for his opposition to LGBTQ+ rights and public schools, has been thrust into the spotlight after allegations emerged linking him to performances in gay adult films. DeAngelis’ name has also been associated with the Heritage Foundation‘s controversial “Project 2025” policy blueprint, intended to influence a potential second term for former President Donald Trump.

DeAngelis, who is affiliated with the American Federation for Children (AFC) and the Cato Institute, has been a vocal critic of public school teachers and LGBTQ+ issues. He describes himself as a “parental rights” activist and has criticized public schools for allegedly prioritizing LGBTQ+ matters over traditional education. In a past statement on Fox News, DeAngelis remarked, “Public schools are focusing more on the LGBTs than the ABCs.”

The controversy deepened when allegations surfaced that DeAngelis performed under the name “Seth Rose” in adult films produced by GayHoopla in 2014. These claims were initially circulated by Sarah Fields on social media and later amplified by a Substack blogger and other outlets.

In response to the allegations, the American Federation for Children removed DeAngelis’ information from their website, though DeAngelis has not publicly commented on the matter. Additionally, Representative Keith Brooks from Arkansas, who has been associated with DeAngelis and his educational advocacy, has not addressed requests for comment on the issue.

Sarah Kate Ellis, CEO of GLAAD, criticized DeAngelis’ involvement in Project 2025, which suggests policies that would contradict personal freedoms, including a pornography ban. Ellis stated, “DeAngelis and Heritage have no business anywhere near America’s schools, students, and families.”

The debacle surrounding DeAngelis has sparked discussions about the authenticity and motives of the school choice movement. Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, a proponent of educational vouchers that DeAngelis has supported, has not yet commented on the unfolding situation.
