Cool Weather Continues as Fall Approaches

ST. PAUL, Minn. — As fall approaches, residents experienced a mix of clouds and cool temperatures Wednesday. While a few stray showers made an attempt, most areas remained dry throughout the day.
Tonight, temperatures are expected to drop into the mid-40s, creating a cool and crisp start for Thursday morning. Meteorologist Chris Reece advised residents to prepare for partly cloudy skies.
On Thursday, temperatures will reach the low 60s. However, showers are likely to roll in late in the day, potentially leading to a slower evening commute. “Students might leave for school dry, but they’ll need their rain jackets for the ride home,” Reece noted.
Friday brings even cooler temperatures with highs near 60 and gusts reaching between 20 to 30 mph. This mix of warm days and cool nights could lead to an early showcase of fall colors, according to experts.
The weekend forecast looks promising for outdoor activities, with temperatures ranging from the 60s to near 70. Sunday is expected to be particularly pleasant, offering sunshine and comfortable temperatures.
By Monday, there may be a slight chance of showers returning late in the day, with more unsettled weather anticipated into Tuesday. Although these conditions may disrupt outdoor plans, forecasters do not anticipate a washout weekend.
As the evening cools off, residents are encouraged to enjoy the evening and embrace the signs of fall arriving.
