Cyberpunk 2077 Comic Series Announcement

LOS ANGELES, CA — Dark Horse Comics announced today that a new comic series titled “Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome” will launch in January 2026. This four-issue series dives deeper into the universe of the popular role-playing game.

The creative team includes Tommaso Bennato and Doug Wagner, who aim to add a unique twist to the rich lore of Night City. In a teaser, the team mentioned, “A group of friends including a netrunner, a fire graffiti artist, an aspiring rockerboy, and an autotechie set off for a fun photoshoot at a landfill. Rumor has it the place is haunted, and they are about to find out that there are things far more frightening than ghosts.” This comic is positioned as Night City’s first slasher story, focusing on classic horror elements.

Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome will be the 13th limited comic series connected to the game, and fans can expect it to align with the established canon. The previous Dark Horse title, “Cyberpunk 2077: XOXO,” explored a conflict between rival gangs and introduced elements of romance reminiscent of Shakespeare’s works.

The first issue of Chrome is set for release on January 16, 2026, with three additional issues scheduled on yet-to-be-announced dates. Dark Horse Comics has a history of producing well-received adaptations, and fans hope this series will continue that trend.
