Daisy Edgar Jones Interview Hollywood Co Stars

LOS ANGELES, CA — In a recent interview with Elle magazine, actress Daisy Edgar-Jones expressed gratitude for the support she has received from her male co-stars throughout her career. The conversation took place on March 25, 2025, as she discussed her leading roles alongside some of Hollywood’s most sought-after actors.

Edgar-Jones, known for her breakout role in the series “Normal People,” has worked with prominent stars like Glen Powell, Paul Mescal, Sebastian Stan, and Andrew Garfield. “I’ve basically worked with all of the internet’s boyfriends, and I’m lucky that every actor I’ve worked with has been incredibly supportive of me being the lead,” she remarked, highlighting the sense of camaraderie on set.

She praised her co-stars for their generosity and commitment to storytelling. “Glen was always like, ‘What’s Kate’s journey in this? Let’s find it.’ That attitude is why they are so successful and beloved — they serve the story first, not their egos,” Edgar-Jones added.

In her latest film, “On Swift Horses,” set to be released on April 25, Edgar-Jones portrays a character that defies traditional roles for women in film. The actress emphasized her desire to portray characters with depth. “I want every character I play to be complicated and deep and have layers to them. That’s what it is to be human,” she said.

Edgar-Jones addressed the importance of narratives featuring women at the forefront. “It’s great that more stories are being made with women front and center. It’s also an interesting thing, being a woman in your 20s, wanting to find characters who are not always ingenues,” she remarked. She noted that her character in “Twisters” underwent a significant journey that transcended romantic expectations, despite some criticism over the film’s ending.

Co-star Harris Dickinson echoed Edgar-Jones’ sentiments, calling her one of the kindest people he has worked with. “She has immense patience and sensitivity, which makes her a brilliant artist. It means she’s fully tuned in to the story,” he said.

As she looks ahead to her future projects, Edgar-Jones remains optimistic. “I’m nervous for the point that it comes to working with someone who might not be so chill with it. Because there’s so much ego that can exist in this industry,” she concluded, reflecting on the challenges professional women often face.
