Damon Wayans Jr. And Sr. Comedy Series 2025

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Damon Wayans Jr. and his father, Damon Wayans Sr., are set to reunite on screen in a new comedy series, more than a decade after their memorable father-son dynamic on the hit show Happy Endings.

The duo first shared the screen in season 1, episode 5 of Happy Endings, titled “Like Father, Like Gun,” where Wayans Sr. guest-starred as the father of Wayans Jr.’s character, Brad. Their on-screen chemistry, from awkward interactions to heartfelt moments, became a standout moment in the series.

Now, the Wayans are teaming up again for a new project co-created by Wayans Sr. The series, set to debut in February 2025, will center on the comedic rapport between the father-son pair, drawing from their real-life relationship and the Wayans family’s storied legacy in entertainment.

“I feel like I’m a working actor,” Damon Wayans Jr. said in a recent interview, reflecting on his career and the influence of his family. “Working with my dad again is special because we bring something unique to the table—our history, our humor, and our bond.”

The Wayans family has long been a powerhouse in comedy, with Wayans Sr. co-creating iconic shows like In Living Color and Wayans Jr. carving out his own path with roles in New Girl and Happy Endings. Fans are eager to see how their natural chemistry translates into this new series.

While details about the show’s plot remain under wraps, the anticipation is high, especially given the decade-long gap since their last collaboration. “It’s surprising it took this long,” said one industry insider. “But when you see them together, you understand why it’s worth the wait.”
