Disney Cruise Line New Ships Expansion

CELEBRATION, Florida — Disney Cruise Line announced plans to add seven new ships to its fleet over the next six years, bringing the total to thirteen by 2031. Currently, the fleet consists of six ships, with the latest additions set to enhance Disney’s offerings at sea.

The new vessels will include the third ship in Disney’s Wish Class, following the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure. This new ship is themed around heroes and villains and will feature popular attractions from its sister ships. Highlights include the Haunted Mansion Parlor and the Aqua Mouse attraction, along with new experiences like a Doctor Strange-themed lounge and a piano bar named DeVil’s.

Moreover, Disney Destiny will debut an all-new Broadway-style musical adaptation of “Hercules,” incorporating impressive staging and puppetry, plus a new song titled “Shooting Star,” which was cut from the animated film.

Another exciting addition is the Disney Adventure, which will house seven themed zones such as Town Square and Disney Imagination Garden. Notably, Marvel Landing will host three new attractions, including Ironcycle Run, the longest roller coaster at sea. Additionally, this ship will feature garden-view staterooms overlooking the themed areas.

The fourth Wish Class vessel is being designed by Walt Disney Imagineering and will be operated by Oriental Land Company, known for managing the Tokyo Disney Resort. This ship’s steel-cutting ceremony took place on August 8, 2025, marking a key milestone in its construction.

Following the Wish Class expansions, Disney Cruise Line plans to release four smaller ships, although specific details and timelines remain undisclosed. Disney continues to innovate in the cruise industry while upholding its tradition of family-friendly entertainment on the ocean.
