Disney Unveils First Look At Tron: Ares For 2025 Release

Disney has officially released the much-anticipated first glimpse of TRON: Ares, the upcoming addition to the TRON franchise slated for a theatrical debut in 2025. The film commenced production in January in Vancouver and serves as a sequel to Disney’s iconic 1982 science fiction film TRON and its 2010 follow-up, TRON: Legacy.

Directed by Joachim Rønning, TRON: Ares ventures into uncharted territory, introducing audiences to an advanced Program named Ares, who embarks on a perilous mission from the digital realm to the real world, marking a groundbreaking encounter between humanity and artificial intelligence.

The star-studded cast of TRON: Ares includes Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, and Gillian Anderson, promising a captivating cinematic journey.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of the TRON legacy and to bring this new film to fans worldwide,” expressed director Joachim Rønning. “TRON: Ares builds on the foundation of avant-garde design, technology, and storytelling. The timing feels right for a return to the Grid.”

Produced by Sean Bailey, Jeffrey Silver, Justin Springer, Jared Leto, Emma Ludbrook, and Steven Lisberger, with Russell Allen serving as executive producer, TRON: Ares is set to captivate audiences with its fusion of cutting-edge visuals and narrative excellence. Fans can expect a futuristic adventure like no other in 2025.
