DJI Mavic 4 Pro Launches, But Not in the USA Yet

TORONTO, Canada — DJI has officially announced the launch of its highly anticipated Mavic 4 Pro drone, which will be available in Canada and Mexico starting May 13, 2025. However, the company has confirmed that it will not be sold in the United States at this time, leaving many American drone enthusiasts disappointed.
The Mavic 4 Pro is touted as the most versatile drone from DJI to date, featuring a groundbreaking 360-degree rotating gimbal that allows for unique footage angles, including true vertical filming. It is equipped with a built-in 100-megapixel camera capable of recording 6K video at 60 frames per second, marking a significant advancement in the Mavic series.
With a starting price between $2,000 and $2,500, the Mavic 4 Pro boasts an impressive 51 minutes of battery life and several features aimed at professional cinematographers. The drone’s internal storage has been upgraded from 8GB to 64GB, and it offers three cameras, each capable of 4K recording.
Despite its advanced features, the Mavic 4 Pro will not be launched in the U.S. market. DJI noted that regulatory uncertainties and tariffs played significant roles in this decision. The company is still evaluating market conditions and has no timeline for a U.S. release.
DJI stated, “While we currently do not have an estimated timeline, we are closely monitoring the situation and exploring every possible solution.” The company will not honor warranties for units purchased in Canada or Mexico if brought back to the U.S.
In response to numerous inquiries, DJI said that they are actively assessing market dynamics and the interests of U.S. customers. ”We are making every effort to protect the interests of our customers,” said spokesperson Daisy Kong.
The Mavic 4 Pro has already created excitement, and with better flight times and video quality than its predecessor, many are eager to get their hands on it. For now, however, U.S. residents must find alternative ways to access this cutting-edge drone while hoping for a future release.
