Ebonyi Women Empowered At Annual Meeting

The wife of the Governor of Ebonyi State, Mrs. Uzoamaka Nwifuru, has recently empowered a total of 65 individuals in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and 130 women and youths in skills such as fashion design and hairdressing. This took place during the 2024 Ebonyi Women August Meeting held at the Christian Ecumenical Center in Abakaliki, the state capital.

Among the beneficiaries, Miss Nwogha Ogonna expressed her gratitude towards the state government, stating that the administration has significantly improved lives. She encouraged other women in the state to create nurturing homes, believing that good values from families can lead to a more peaceful society. She said, “If you make a good home, our society will be a peaceful one.”

Earlier in the event, Ebonyi State Governor Mr. Francis Nwifuru praised the contributions of women in the state, highlighting their role in fostering peace. His remarks emphasized the importance of women’s involvement in community-building and personal development.
