Elizabeth Holmes Theranos Pardon Trump

WATERFORD, Calif. – Jailed Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes is garnering support from allies within President Donald Trump’s coalition as she seeks a potential pardon. Holmes, who was convicted of defrauding investors, is currently serving an 11-and-a-half-year sentence but may be released early in August 2032, unless she secures a pardon.

Jessica Reed Kraus, an influential voice within the “Make America Healthy Again” (MAHA) movement, recently wrote about Holmes in her popular Substack. Kraus noted that her friends in the movement have encouraged her to rethink Holmes’ situation. In her post, Kraus highlighted that Holmes never sold her stock and was cleared of charges related to patient harm.

Kraus suggested that public perception may view Holmes as a victim of a corrupt industry opposed to innovation. “She was positioned as a catastrophic threat to a trillion-dollar industry,” Kraus stated, emphasizing how the narrative could paint Holmes as an outsider rather than simply a fraud.

Holmes’ conviction arose from her role in misleading investors about Theranos’ blood-testing technology, which she falsely claimed could deliver rapid and accurate results. Despite her sentence, her supporters are advocating for her cause. Kraus remarked, “I have been working to Make America Healthy Again since 2004. I will continue to dedicate my life ahead to improving healthcare in this beautiful country I call home.”

In addition to Kraus, pro-life activist Lila Rose has publicly supported Holmes, asserting that her sentence is unjust. Holmes, who identifies as pro-life, recalled in a post that prosecutors suggested she could have managed an abortion prior to her trial, stating, “I would never. All life is precious and worth fighting for.”

Trump has a history of issuing controversial pardons, including those for high-profile figures like former Representative George Santos and reality stars Todd and Julie Chrisley. A White House official stated that discussions about pardons are confidential and that only the President makes the final decisions.

As Holmes’ case continues to unfold, the support she receives from Trump’s coalition may play a crucial role in her pursuit of clemency.
