Zubac Shines in Clippers’ Narrow Victory over Warriors
Ivica Zubac had a noteworthy performance during the Los Angeles Clippers‘ 102-99 triumph over the Golden State Warriors on Monday. Despite struggles with his shooting, Zubac excelled in other areas, particularly on the defensive end of the court.
On the night, Zubac recorded eight points, hitting three of his eight attempts from the field, and was perfect from the free-throw line with two conversions. His contribution was significantly felt in the rebounding department, where he amassed 17 rebounds. Alongside this, he also added four assists, one block, and two steals in his 36 minutes on the court.
This performance marks Zubac’s third consecutive game, and the sixth in his last seven appearances, where he has secured at least 10 rebounds. Currently, he averages 12.4 rebounds and 15.3 points per game for the season.
Previously, Zubac played a key role in a game against the Houston Rockets, despite the Clippers’ eventual 111-103 defeat. In that match, held last Wednesday, he tallied eight points with four of eight field goals, and managed to record six rebounds, along with an assist, a steal, and a block.
Evaluations of Zubac’s recent performances suggest that while his scoring may have dipped slightly, his reliability in defensive play and rebounding remains strong. This consistency in rebounding makes him a valuable player for the Clippers, especially when considering his capacity to dominate the glass effectively.
