Nba Youngboy Concert Miami Disturbance

MIAMI, Florida — A 23-year-old man was tased and taken into custody after allegedly resisting officers during a disturbance at an NBA YoungBoy concert at the Kaseya Center on Monday night, Miami police confirmed.

According to an arrest report, officers working an off-duty detail at the arena were called to Section 311 around 10:15 p.m. after reports that several concertgoers were not complying with arena rules. The suspect, identified as Marcus Antwon Reed, reportedly made unsolicited physical contact with a police officer.

As officers attempted to remove him from the seating area, Reed allegedly grasped a nearby handrail, refusing to release his grip. In response, a sergeant instructed another officer to use a Taser. The electric device struck Reed twice in the chest but did not incapacitate him, the report indicated.

Surveillance footage obtained by Local 10 News shows Reed and officers tumbling down approximately 15 rows during the altercation. Additional police units arrived on the scene and managed to place Reed in handcuffs.

Authorities stated that an officer struck Reed twice in the ribs and pulled at his hair in an effort to gain compliance before escorting him out of the section. Even while being removed from the arena, Reed reportedly continued to resist.

Miami Fire Rescue assessed Reed at the scene before transporting him to Jackson Memorial Hospital for medical clearance. Jail records show he is facing two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and four counts of resisting an officer with violence.

As of Tuesday, Reed was being held on a $7,500 bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. No serious injuries to officers or other concertgoers were reported.
