Fox News Airs Expletive During Charlie Kirk Segment
NEW YORK, N.Y. – A live hot mic moment interrupted a Fox News broadcast Wednesday evening when an expletive was accidentally aired during the introduction of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.
The incident occurred as host Laura Ingraham introduced Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, on her show. As Ingraham began speaking, a deep voice was heard saying, “Oh shit,” before the audio cut out. The gaffe quickly went viral on social media, with users sharing clips and commentary about the unexpected moment.
An anonymous Fox News source attributed the incident to a technical error in the control room. “The audio operator accidentally slid the wrong fader, which was allotted for a different guest,” the source said. “That guest was adjusting his IFB at the time and said ‘oh shit,’ which was accidentally transmitted on the air.”
Kirk, who appeared unfazed by the interruption, was on the show to discuss his recent trip to Greenland with Donald Trump Jr. and Trump administration staffer Sergio Gor. The trip drew criticism from Greenlandic politicians, who accused the group of staging photo ops with local residents, including some reportedly recruited from under a bridge in exchange for meals.
Journalist Aaron Rupar quipped on social media, “In fairness, this is the sound I make when Charlie Kirk is on my TV.” The incident marks another in a series of on-air mishaps for Fox News, which has faced scrutiny for technical errors and controversial content in recent years.
