Glen Powell Stars in A24 Thriller ‘How to Make a Killing’
Hollywood, CA – Glen Powell stars in the upcoming thriller film ‘How to Make a Killing,’ directed by John Patton Ford. Set to release on Feb. 20, 2026, the movie follows Becket Redfellow, who faces ruthless challenges to reclaim his family inheritance.
The official synopsis reveals that Becket, born to Mary, an heiress cut off from the wealthy Redfellow family, becomes driven by a desire to fulfill her belief in his greatness. After her death, he embarks on a dark mission to eliminate seven relatives who stand in his way.
“There were seven of them — seven rich pricks between myself and $28 billion,” Powell’s character boasts in the trailer, hinting at the film’s dark humor and chilling plot.
Studiocanal fully financed the film, with Ron Halpern and Joe Naftalin overseeing production, alongside Pete Czernin and Graham Broadbent of Blueprint Pictures. The cast includes Margaret Qualley, Ed Harris, Jessica Henwick, Zach Woods, and Topher Grace.
Ford’s earlier work has drawn attention for its intricate storytelling, and Powell expressed enthusiasm for the project. “The movie is fantastic, and John Patton Ford is a great filmmaker. I can’t wait for people to see it,” he said.
‘How to Make a Killing’ promises to blend suspense and dark comedy, taking inspiration from Robert Hamer‘s 1949 film ‘Kind Hearts and Coronets.’ As anticipation builds, viewers can expect a thrilling and imaginative narrative filled with unexpected twists.
