GOSH Charity Announces £10m Partnership with Omaze for Children’s Cancer Centre
Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) Charity has unveiled a groundbreaking five-year partnership with Omaze, aiming to raise £10m for the development of a new children’s cancer centre.
nn
This collaboration marks Omaze’s largest commitment to date, and it will be achieved through multiple house draws starting today. GOSH Charity, which has already reached the halfway point of its £300m fundraising appeal launched in 2023, has identified reaching this target as a crucial goal.
nn
Omaze, a prominent prize draw fundraising company, entered the UK market in 2020 and has successfully generated £28.5m for various charities including the British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK, NSPCC, and RSPCA through its innovative fundraising approach.
nn
Prize draws offered by Omaze enable participants to win million-pound houses across the UK, accompanied by significant cash prizes to support their transition. The company also organizes draws for cars, cash, and other valuable rewards.
nn
The partnership between GOSH Charity and Omaze was initially forged in 2021 when Omaze hosted a prize draw for a £3m house in Wimbledon, generating £500,000 for the charity. Under the new agreement, GOSH Charity will benefit from Omaze’s updated donation model. The guaranteed minimum donation per house draw will increase tenfold, rising from £100,000 to £1m.
nn
Liz Tait, the Director of Fundraising at GOSH Charity, expressed her excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing the urgent need for a new home to support the delivery of breakthrough therapies. The funds raised through this partnership will specifically contribute to the construction of the new children’s cancer centre at GOSH, furthering the fight against childhood cancer.

The first million-pound house draw as part of this renewed partnership will accept postal entries until 27 February. Participants will have the opportunity to support a noble cause while also gaining a chance to win a life-changing prize. This partnership is poised to transform the landscape of children’s healthcare and research, with GOSH Charity and Omaze leading the charge.
