Historian Predicting Election Outcome

WASHINGTON – Renowned historian Allan Lichtman, who has accurately predicted the outcomes of 9 out of the last 10 presidential elections, has made a prediction for the upcoming election.

Lichtman announced in a video, first reported by USA TODAY, that his forecast is based on a set of thirteen keys or overarching true-false questions that evaluate the strength and performance of the party currently in the White House.

In his academic career, Lichtman has been honored with the title of ‘Distinguished Professor’ from American University in Washington, D.C. He holds a Ph.D. in modern American history and quantitative methods from Harvard University.

Among his numerous contributions, Lichtman has authored 13 books and written hundreds of scholarly articles. He has served as an expert witness in civil and voting rights cases and is often sought after for political commentary.

The thirteen keys he analyzes include factors such as the performance of the White House party during midterm elections, the sitting president’s reelection bid, potential third-party challengers, and the state of the economy.

According to Lichtman, eight of these keys currently suggest a favorable outcome for Kamala Harris while three favor Donald Trump. He cautioned that foreign policy dynamics could shift, which may impact these keys.

<p“The Biden administration is deeply invested in the war in Gaza, which is a humanitarian disaster with no end in sight,” Lichtman stated in the video. “But even if both foreign policy keys flipped false, that would mean that there were only five negative keys, which would not be enough for Donald Trump to regain the White House.”

Lichtman concluded his statement by reiterating that, based on his analysis, Harris is likely to win the presidency. He encouraged viewers to participate in the election, emphasizing that the final outcome lies in the voters’ hands.
