Ice Agents Goose Creek South Carolina Raid

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents conducted an early morning operation in a Goose Creek neighborhood Friday, serving warrants and detaining multiple individuals. The incident occurred on the 100 block of Brick Greens Road before 8 a.m., catching residents and local authorities by surprise.

Goose Creek Police Chief LJ Roscoe confirmed that ICE agents were in the area but stated that the police department was not informed in advance. “It was reported to me, after the fact, that ICE was at the location serving a warrant,” Roscoe said. “The Goose Creek Police Department was not given information in advance that ICE was going to be at the address, however we were notified once they needed help. They resolved the issue prior to our arrival, so no one from Goose Creek Police Department was involved or on scene.”

Roscoe added that ICE representatives initially claimed to have notified local authorities but later admitted they had not. “A representative of ICE did try to tell me that they notified us in advance, however after looking into it, I found that they in fact never called Goose Creek Police Department,” Roscoe said.

Witnesses captured videos and photos of the operation, showing ICE agents handcuffing individuals and leading them to unmarked vehicles. One video shows a man being escorted in handcuffs from a group of parked cars, while another photo depicts several people leaning against vans with their hands restrained. ICE has not yet responded to requests for comment regarding the operation.

South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace announced Friday morning that she would be “out with ICE,” though it remains unclear whether she was present during this specific operation. The incident has sparked questions about coordination between federal and local law enforcement agencies.
