Iredell-Statesville Schools Implement Mask Mandate, Host Convocation and Board Meetings
Iredell-Statesville Schools have recently implemented several significant measures and hosted key events. As of December 3, 2024, the school board has extended the COVID-19 mask mandate for students and staff. This mandate will be in effect for the remainder of December and at least half of February, aiming to maintain a safe environment amidst ongoing health concerns.
In addition to the mask mandate, Iredell-Statesville Schools held a convocation on Monday, December 2, 2024, to kick off the 2024-2025 school year for teachers and staff. The event, held at Lake Norman, was designed to inspire teamwork and unity among the educational community.
The school district has also been engaged in administrative activities. On December 2, 2024, a Committee of the Whole Board of Education Meeting was held at the Career Academy and Technical School Conference Room. Another Board of Education Meeting is scheduled for December 9, 2024, at the same location.
Furthermore, new members of the Iredell-Statesville Schools Board were recently sworn in. The new chair of the board has outlined expectations and goals for the upcoming term, marking a new era in the district’s governance and educational policies.
