Jennifer Lawrence Pregnant 2024

Jennifer Lawrence, the acclaimed Oscar-winning actress, has announced she is expecting her second child with her husband, Cooke Maroney. The news was shared through a Vogue Instagram post on October 20, 2024. Representatives for Lawrence confirmed the announcement to Vogue. The couple is already parents to their son, Cy, who they welcomed in February 2022.

Through an interview published in June 2023, Lawrence shared her thoughts on motherhood and dealing with the paparazzi, alongside actress Cameron Diaz. “I do my best,” said Lawrence, reflecting on the challenges of protecting her son from intrusive photographers. “I was so nervous when I was pregnant, getting paparazzied.” She elaborated that her priority became to maintain a calm energy around her son, emphasizing, “If he feels that I’m anxious, that’s going to impact him.”

Lawrence praised her husband, Maroney, calling him “the greatest father in the entire world.” The couple tied the knot in October 2019 at the Belcourt mansion in Newport, Rhode Island. Lawrence also discussed the impact of her son on her work life, explaining that the presence of her child has made her more selective in her choice of projects, asking herself, “Is this worth being away from my child for half the day?”

In addition to her growing family, Lawrence recently undertook the role of executive producer for “Zurawski v Texas,” a documentary addressing the impact of anti-abortion laws in Texas. The film, co-produced alongside Hillary Clinton, is set to premiere on October 25 in various locations, including New York and Texas. This film is significant as it coincides with Lawrence’s personal reflections on motherhood and recent legal changes.”

Furthermore, Lawrence will also be part of “Bread & Roses,” a documentary about Afghan women under Taliban rule, co-produced with Malala Yousafzai, which will be available on Apple TV+ starting late November. Lawrence’s pivot towards documentary filmmaking indicates her growing interest in social causes, particularly those impacting women.
