Jon Bon Jovi Shares Excitement Over Becoming a Grandfather for the First Time

LOS ANGELES, California — Jon Bon Jovi has opened up about becoming a grandfather after his son, Jake Bongiovi, and daughter-in-law, Millie Bobby Brown, adopted a baby girl this summer.
During an episode of Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast, Bon Jovi expressed his excitement, saying, “It’s crazy, but great. Wonderful.” He added that after meeting the baby, she immediately felt like a part of the family.
<p“Your baby. So it’s beautiful, I want to see pictures like every other day. I’m that pain-in-the-butt guy already,” Jon Bon Jovi said.
Brown and Bongiovi announced their adoption on August 21, sharing on Instagram, “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption.” They expressed their excitement while asking for peace and privacy as they begin this new chapter as parents.
The couple married in May 2024, a year after beginning their relationship. Bon Jovi acknowledged that while they married young, he and his wife, Dorothea Hurley, support the couple, stating, “They’re sort of mature beyond their years.”
He praised Brown, saying, “She’s a sweetheart, and she’s a hard worker. I tell her all the time how much I admire her because her work ethic is unbelievable.”
Bon Jovi also mentioned that he is looking forward to the new music release from his band, Bon Jovi, which will feature collaborations with artists like Avril Lavigne and Bruce Springsteen in the upcoming Forever (Legendary Edition) album.
As Bon Jovi embraces his new role as a grandfather, he recalls being supportive of his son and daughter-in-law’s relationship. He sees pieces of his own relationship with Hurley in theirs, noting, “It is an accelerated version of what I went through 40 years ago.”
