LAFC Hosts Noche de Carlos Vela in LA on Sunday

LOS ANGELES, CA – Los Angeles FC (LAFC) is set to honor Carlos Vela, its legendary player, during ‘Noche de Carlos Vela’ at BMO Stadium on Sunday evening. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for a special FanFest event, running from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

The celebration will feature various live performances, including Folklorico dancers, Aztec dancers, a DJ, Mariachi music, and a Banda performance. Attendees can also enjoy tailgating activities, games, partner giveaways, and an opportunity to sign a ‘Thank You Carlos’ wall.

Inside the stadium, a pregame ceremony will commemorate Vela, LAFC’s first and most decorated player, who has played an essential role in the club’s identity. Every fan entering will receive a commemorative t-shirt and an LED wristband courtesy of Ford. Limited-edition Vela merchandise will be available at LAFC HQ.

LAFC, currently in fourth place in the Western Conference, recently achieved a top-four ranking after defeating Real Salt Lake on the road, with Son Heung-Min scoring his first MLS hat trick and Denis Bouanga breaking the club’s all-time scoring record. The team is 13 wins, 7 losses, and 8 draws, amassing 47 points with a goal differential of plus-17.

Vela has been pivotal in LAFC’s success but will be sidelined for the match. Midfielder Timmy Tillman emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum as they head into the playoffs. “We all want to reach the playoffs and we want to do well,” he said.
