The highly anticipated Vande Bharat Express train service between Varanasi and Deoghar has begun accepting ticket bookings. The new 20-coach Vande Bharat Express, scheduled to operate from Varanasi Cantt to New Delhi, will be flagged off virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 4:15 PM on September 16th. The train identified with number 22500, known as the Vande Bharat Express, had its first regular journey with 25 passengers booking seats in the chair car category on Saturday. However, the final count for the executive class bookings was not available as of late evening. The railway administration has released different fares for this train.

In train number 22500, the fare for the chair car category is set at INR 1,300, while the executive class fare stands at INR 2,365. Similarly, passengers will have to pay INR 1,355 for the chair car category on train number 22499, whereas, for the executive class, the fare is INR 2,415.

The new Vande Bharat Express, operating from Cantt to New Delhi with 20 coaches, will be inaugurated virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 4:15 PM on September 16. The original inauguration time was set for 11 AM. This special inaugural train will travel up to Prayagraj Junction, and preparations are ongoing at the Cantt station.

In another development, MLA Bonela Vijaya Chandra from Parvatipuram has acknowledged the Union Railway Ministry and Railway Board for agreeing to include a stop at the Parvatipuram railway station for the newly launched Visakhapatnam-Durg Vande Bharat Express. The train, which completed its trial runs recently, will operate five days a week starting September 16. Initially, the train only halted at Vizianagaram within Andhra Pradesh. Following appeals from local residents, MLA Bonela Vijaya Chandra met with Union Minister of State for Railways, V. Somanna, in Bengaluru and communicated the community’s requests.

Owing to discussions with Railway Board Chairman Satish Kumar and Union Minister V. Somanna, authorities decided to approve a stop at Parvatipuram, a significant business hub and the administrative center of the Parvatipuram-Manyam district. MLA Vijaya Chandra expressed gratitude, highlighting that the stop would benefit devotees visiting the renowned Majji Gowramma temple in Rayagada, Odisha. Furthermore, he mentioned that the addition of this stop could potentially foster economic growth in Parvatipuram, as it provides business traders from Durg and Raipur in Chattisgarh a convenient six-hour travel option.
