Mike Heslin Lioness Actor Death Incident

Las Vegas, Nevada – Actor Mike Heslin, known for his roles in the series ‘Lioness‘ and the film ‘The Holiday Proposal Plan,’ died on July 2, 2024, at the age of 30 after an unexpected cardiac event, his husband confirmed.

Heslin collapsed while dining at Javier's restaurant in the Aria Resort & Casino on June 25, 2024, prompting his friends to call for help and move tables to lay him on the floor. According to a wrongful death complaint filed by his husband, Scotty Dynamo, restaurant staff failed to provide lifesaving interventions.

Dynamo, previously known as Nicolas James Wilson, alleged in the complaint that restaurant employees did not perform CPR or retrieve an automated external defibrillator (AED) despite his friends’ pleas for help. A bystander reportedly attempted CPR but was forcefully removed by staff.

The complaint, filed in Clark County District Court on September 18, claims that restaurant and casino employees “stood by” and did not initiate emergency action that could have saved Heslin’s life. It describes a series of failures by the staff, including not adequately stocking emergency equipment and not training personnel to handle such medical emergencies.

“Michael was young and in perfect health, and the doctors have no explanation for what happened,” Dynamo stated at the time of Heslin’s death. “This was an avoidable tragedy,” he added.

The lawsuit includes five counts: wrongful death, loss of consortium, negligence, negligent hiring and training, and gross negligence. Dynamo seeks damages exceeding $15,000, including funeral expenses and punitive damages.

A representative from MGM Resorts, which operates the Aria, did not respond to requests for comments. Orlando De Castroverde, the attorney representing Dynamo, emphasized the need for accountability and noted the absence of vital lifesaving measures in the restaurant.

In a heartfelt social media tribute, Dynamo remembered Heslin as a brilliant and selfless person who had helped him through difficult times. Just a week before Heslin’s passing, the couple discussed starting a family, he revealed.

“You always told me that you felt like you were meant to be a dad, and I couldn’t agree more,” Dynamo wrote. “If I ever become a dad, I am going to name my son after you.”
