Madonna Returns to Warner Records for New Dance Album in 2026

NEW YORK, NY — Madonna is set to release a new dance album in 2026, marking her return to Warner Records after nearly two decades away. The pop icon, known as the Queen of Pop, made the announcement on September 18, 2025, revealing plans for a follow-up to her acclaimed 2005 album, Confessions on a Dance Floor.

This new project will also be Madonna’s first studio album since Madame X, released in 2019. She has teamed up again with award-winning producer Stuart Price, who produced much of her previous work, including Confessions on a Dance Floor.

Reflecting on her journey, Madonna shared her excitement about reuniting with Warner Records, the label that launched her career 43 years ago. “From being a struggling artist in New York City to signing a record deal to release just three singles, it seemed at the time my world would never be the same again, and in fact that couldn’t have been truer,” she said in a statement.

Madonna expressed her gratitude towards Warner, stating, “Since the beginning, Warner Records has been a real partner with me. I am happy to be reunited and look forward to the future, making music, doing the unexpected while perhaps provoking a few needed conversations.”

Warner Records has a long history with Madonna, including the release of iconic albums such as Like a Virgin (1984), Like a Prayer (1989), and Ray of Light (1998). Her original contract with Warner began in 1982 with Sire Records, a subsidiary of Warner. Following her departure from Warner in 2008, she signed a deal with Live Nation.

In releasing this upcoming album, Madonna also plans to reissue her catalog under Warner, gathering her albums released under Interscope Records since leaving Warner.

Tom Corson and Aaron Bay-Schuck, co-chairmen of Warner Records, stated, “This signing represents a historic, full-circle moment, bringing her back to the label where it all began and reaffirming her unparalleled influence.” They added that the album would set the stage for an exciting new era of creativity for the pop superstar.
