Man Jumps Into River After Taking Hard Drugs Lagos

A tragic incident occurred in the Alagbado area of Lagos State on Friday, October 11, when a 45-year-old man identified as Kazeem drowned in a river after taking a hard drug suspected to be Colorado.

According to the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the incident was reported at the Alagbado Division around 11 am. Hundeyin stated that Kazeem, under the influence of the hard drug, ran uncontrollably and jumped into the river at the Odo Tente boundary between Lagos and Ogun states.

The police confirmed that Kazeem drowned in the river and died. Detectives from the Alagbado Division visited the scene, took photographs of the deceased, and contacted his father through his phone. The father directed that the corpse be buried immediately by the riverside according to their tradition.

The police have commenced an investigation into the incident to determine the full circumstances surrounding Kazeem’s death. This incident highlights the growing concern about substance abuse and its devastating consequences in Nigeria.
