Meghan King Jim Edmonds Domestic Dispute

FRONTENAC, Missouri — Police were called to the home of Jim Edmonds on May 1, 2023, after claims surfaced that his ex-wife, Meghan King, had entered the property without permission. Police reports reveal that Edmonds’ current wife, Kortnie, reported the incident, stating it was a domestic disturbance.

According to the police report, Kortnie was the one who contacted authorities about the situation. King, 40, who divorced Edmonds, 55, in 2019, allegedly arrived at the house multiple times that day, leading to Kortnie calling the police. While en route, officers received word that King was leaving the scene in a Jeep and later pulled her over.

In the report, King stated she was at the home to drop off clothing for their daughter, Aspen, eight. However, Kortnie claimed that when King arrived around 5 p.m., she rang the doorbell several times and refused to leave the dress at the doorstep as instructed.

“Meghan advised she had contacted her ex-husband, Jim Edmonds, earlier in the day to arrange the clothing drop-off,” the report noted. A source close to King claimed that she spoke to Jim and was en route to discuss their daughter when the altercation occurred.

Kortnie told police that she asked King to leave the dress and close the door but that King became upset, asking to speak to her daughter instead. After Kortnie attempted to close the door, she alleged that King wedged her foot in to keep it open briefly. The situation escalated, prompting Kortnie to call authorities.

The police report indicated that officers attempted to deescalate the situation and King was neither arrested nor detained. A source revealed that after the incident, Kortnie initially decided not to pursue charges but later opted to press charges for harassment. “It was shocking to her that it happened in the first place,” said the insider.

Jim Edmonds reportedly arrived at the home after police were on the scene and informed the officers that he had surveillance footage of the encounter. A later report stated that the Frontenac Municipal Prosecutor chose not to file charges, reclassifying the case as inactive.

Following the altercation, Kortnie filed a restraining order against King, leading to a consent order where King agreed to stay 150 feet away from Kortnie at events involving their children. King’s representative stated that she never entered the house and that she was simply attempting to drop off her daughter’s dress. “Meghan briefly called to her daughter from the doorway, never stepped inside, had the door slammed in her face, and calmly left her belongings on the porch,” they asserted.

The ongoing tensions between King and Edmonds have involved multiple public disputes, highlighting ongoing challenges related to their co-parenting arrangement.
