Michigan Candy Recall Halloween 2025

Ann Arbor, Michigan — As Halloween approaches, residents of Michigan are advised to check their candy for potentially dangerous candy bars that were recalled due to undeclared allergens. Zingerman’s Candy Manufactory announced a voluntary recall on October 24, 2025, following a mix-up in their production line.

The recall affects Zingerman’s Peanut Butter Crush bars and Ca$hew Cow bars. These products were distributed with packaging that did not disclose the presence of peanuts or cashews. The Food and Drug Administration warns that individuals with severe allergies to these nuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume these candies.

The recalled products include Peanut Butter Crush Full Size Bars and Ca$hew Cow Full Size Bars produced in Lot #174250. To date, 156 Peanut Butter Crush bars and 78 Ca$hew Cow bars packaged in 2-ounce boxes are affected. Consumers should carefully check packaging for these lot numbers.

Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include hives, itching, nausea, and potentially anaphylaxis. Zingerman’s is urging anyone who purchased these products to return them to the store for a full refund or to contact the company directly at 877-632-9264 for assistance.

The production issue has been resolved, and Zingerman’s reports that there are no known illnesses linked to this recall. Residents should act quickly to ensure their Halloween treats are safe.
