Microsoft 365 and Azure Services Experience Major Outage
REDMOND, Wash. — Microsoft services, including Microsoft 365 and Azure, are experiencing significant outages today, affecting users worldwide. As of now, many customers are reporting difficulties accessing various Microsoft platforms due to issues with Azure.
Outage tracker DownDetector has noted alarming spikes in reports, indicating that companies like Starbucks, Kroger, and Costco may also be impacted by these issues. Users have been unable to access essential tools like Word, Excel, and Teams, which are part of the Microsoft 365 suite.
The official Azure status page has confirmed ongoing investigations into the problem. A statement from the Azure team mentioned, “We are investigating an issue with the Azure Portal where customers may be experiencing issues accessing the portal.” They promise to provide more information as it becomes available.
This outage raises concerns as Azure is the backbone of both Microsoft’s own services and those of many large customers. Affected users have taken to social media to express their frustrations while awaiting resolution.
The situation is still developing, and Microsoft is actively working to address the issues. Users are encouraged to keep checking for updates on the status page.
