Glen Powell The Running Man Trailer

HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA — A new trailer for the upcoming movie ‘The Running Man‘ was released on October 13, 2025, generating buzz among fans of the original story. Starring Glen Powell as Ben Richards, the film is set to hit theaters on November 14, 2025.

In a near-future society, ‘The Running Man’ is televised entertainment where contestants, known as Runners, must survive for 30 days while being hunted by assassins, with each day offering increasing cash rewards. Ben Richards, a desperate father trying to save his sick daughter, is convinced by producer Dan Killian, played by Josh Brolin, to enter the deadly game.

The film’s adaptation, directed by Edgar Wright, appears to align more closely with Stephen King‘s original novel than previous iterations. Unlike the earlier movie, which featured extravagantly costumed “Stalkers,” the new version presents a grittier image, showcasing Runners evading menacing figures dressed in black.

Producers Simon Kinberg and Nira Park, along with executive producers including George Linder and James Biddle, are collaborating to deliver an intense action film. Glen Powell’s portrayal of Ben Richards has already positioned him as a fan favorite, capable of defying the system he fights against.

As anticipation builds for the film’s release, fans are eager to see how the dramatic themes of survival and media spectacle are brought to life on screen. ‘The Running Man’ promises to both thrill and provoke thought, reflecting society’s relationship with entertainment.

The film is based on a Stephen King novel, previously published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman, presenting a narrative about a father’s fight for his family in a dystopian world.
