Nigel Farage on Donald Trump’s US Election: Support and Advice
Nigel Farage, the leader of the Reform UK party, has been actively supporting Donald Trump in the ongoing US presidential election. On November 6, Farage attended a Trump HQ election watch party in West Palm Beach, where he appeared gleeful and gave a thumbs up to the camera.
During Trump’s final day of campaigning, the former US President gave a special mention to Farage at a rally in Pennsylvania. Trump praised Farage, calling him a “friend” and acknowledging that he is doing a “great job” in the UK. Trump also described Farage as a “little bit of a rebel,” which he saw as a positive trait.
Despite his optimism about Trump’s chances, Farage has offered some pragmatic advice. He suggested that if the election result is clear and decisive in favor of Kamala Harris, Trump should accept defeat and move on, even suggesting that Trump could “go and play golf at Turnberry.” This advice is in line with Farage’s previous urgings for Trump to accept the outcome of the 2020 election and not claim it was stolen.
Farage also advised that if Harris wins, she should consider pardoning Trump to avoid further legal and social turmoil. This suggestion is part of Farage’s broader argument that such a pardon could help bring the country together and defuse potential violence.
