OAKDALE, La. — A licensed nurse practitioner in Allen Parish has been arrested on multiple charges, including Medicare fraud. Allison Jill Miller, 36, from Oakdale, is accused of unethical practices involving prescription medication.

The investigation began in October when the Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office received allegations regarding Miller’s actions. According to authorities, she was prescribing medications to patients but then retrieving those prescriptions herself from the pharmacy.

Today, Miller was arrested and taken into custody at the Allen Parish Jail. As of now, her bond amount has not been established.
