Obasanjo Claims Achievements, Declares His Administration One of the Best in History
Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, highlighted his administration’s achievements and labeled it one of the most successful in Nigerian history during a gathering in Abeokuta. The event, organized by the NerdzFactory Company in collaboration with Meta, took place at the Youth Development Centre, Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL).
Obasanjo reminisced about the remarkable progress made during his tenure from 1999 to 2007, emphasizing his role in liberating Nigeria from overwhelming debt burdens. He boasted of stewarding the country’s economy to a robust state, citing his efforts in securing debt relief and reshaping the nation’s financial landscape.
Addressing a group of corps members from Lagos and Ogun states at the boot camp, Obasanjo urged them to dedicate themselves to fostering national development and leveraging education as a tool for progress.
The founding partner of NerdzFactory Company, Ademulegun Olowojoba, outlined the purpose of the boot camp – empowering youths with digital skills to tackle cyber threats prevalent in the digital sphere. The initiative aimed to equip corps members in imparting cybersecurity knowledge to secondary school students to enhance their digital literacy and safety.
In a related political development, the APC party in Nigeria called for vigilance against Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano state. Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas spearheaded the campaign to caution against Kwankwaso, citing alleged destabilizing activities in the region.
Muhammad Malumfashi, a prominent editor at Legit Hausa, provided insights into the unfolding political dynamics, underscoring the escalating tensions within the APC and Kwankwaso’s controversial stance in Kano state.
