Polaris Bank Customer Still Waits for Refund a Month After Declined Transaction
It has been close to a month since a customer of Polaris Bank, Timothy, residing in Lagos State, was debited for a declined transaction and is yet to receive a refund.
Timothy recounted that the declined transaction took place on May 17 when he attempted to make a payment for fuel at a filling station in Ikoyi using a point of sale (PoS) terminal.
Despite the unsuccessful transaction, he had to resort to transferring the N54,000 amount for the fuel purchase.
All efforts by Timothy to retrieve the money have proven futile over the course of the past month, with visits to Polaris Bank branches in Akin Ademola and Ile Ile Ketu, numerous calls to customer care, and engagement with the bank’s Twitter platform.
The customer shared his frustration with the process, stating that despite being informed by the bank that the transaction was successful, he never received the promised proof of a successful transaction to present at the PoS terminal.
His ongoing attempts to secure the necessary documentation have gone unanswered, leading to continued distress over the unresolved issue.
When contacted by a media outlet on behalf of Timothy, Polaris Bank advised the customer to directly engage with them via social media platforms or connect with their customer service team for further assistance.
