The National Savings and Investment (NS&I) has revealed the winners of the October 2024 Premium Bond prize draw. Amongst the numerous prizes awarded, two notable winners claimed the top prize of £1 million each.

One of the fortunate recipients hails from Derbyshire, holding a winning bond number 535MK963637, originally valued at £40,000 and purchased in March 2023. This bond owner has a total savings accumulation of £50,000 in Premium Bonds.

The second £1 million prize was awarded to a winner from Gloucestershire, whose bond number is 203JB525288. This individual possesses a total holding of £29,900, with the winning bond valued at £25,000, purchased back in February 2013.

While only two individuals secure the £1 million prize each month, a variety of other substantial awards are distributed. In this draw, 71 participants secured the second prize of £100,000, while 141 others claimed £50,000 prizes.

For those keen to check if they are among the October winners, details can be found on the NS&I website. Participants need their holder’s number, which is accessible via bond records or through the NS&I app. Alternatively, individuals can use their NS&I number found in any correspondence related to their bonds.

Premium Bonds remain the UK’s largest savings product, encompassing over 24 million holders who have collectively saved upwards of £122 billion, according to financial expert website Money Saving Expert. The awards are issued monthly, with prizes reaching up to the grand £1 million mark.
